I.M.S. Service Availability Status

 

Normal Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 8.00am - 7.00pm
Friday: 8.00am - 5.00pm
Saturday: 8.00am - 4.00pm
Sunday: Closed

 Service Availability

Status: OK

Scheduled printing outage: Friday 1st August 6pm - 10pm

 

Notice of Scheduled printing outage: Friday 1st August 6pm - 10pm

All network printing (excluding printers that are directly attached to a computer) will be unavailable on Friday 1st August between 6.00pm and 10.00pm.   We will be upgrading the software system that is used to charge and release print and copy jobs, which will take us one step closer to being able to roll out wireless printing at Unitec.   Please ensure you have cleared all your print jobs before 6pm and do not attempt to send any to the print queue during the outage window (6.00pm to 10.00pm).   For those people that use multiple charge codes, please note that the desktop pop up window looks slightly different but the process of selecting a code is the same.   If you have any questions or concerns please contact the IMS Help Desk on 8484 or email imssupport@unitec.ac.nz

Forgot Password?

Students

Students may reset their password via the Forgot Password link found on the myUnitec login page.

How to reset password.

  1. Open an Internet browser and enter URL http://myunitec.unitec.ac.nz and click Login.
  1. Click Forgot Password?.
  1. Enter your Unitec network Username and click Submit.
  1. Provide the answers to the two questions and click Submit.
  1. Enter new password and click on Submit.
  1. Once your password has been changed successfully click Return to Calling Page you will then be redirected back to the myUnitec login page. You now can login with the new password you have set.

Staff

Staff may reset their password via the Forgot Password link found on the myUnitec login page.

Note:

Staff will initially need to login to the myUnitec portal and set up the answers to security questions (see section Steps to set up Challenges and responses below). If you haven’t already done this and require your password reset please contact the IMS Help desk Ph: +64 9 815 4321 Extn 8484.

How to reset password.

  1. Click Forgot Password?.
  1. Enter your Unitec network Username and click Submit.

If you receive a message ‘Answers to challenge response questions have not been set…’ you will not be able to reset your password and will have to contact the IMS Help desk Ph: +64 9 815 4321 Extn 8484

  1. Provide the answers to the two questions and click Submit.
  1. Enter new password and click on Submit.
  1. Once your password has been changed successfully click Return to Calling Page you will then be redirected back to the myUnitec login page. You now can login with the new password you have set.

Steps to set up Challenges and responses.

  1. Open an Internet browser and enter URL http://myunitec.unitec.ac.nz and click Login.
  1. Enter username and password.
  1. Under the Password Management section click on Password Challenge Response and enter a response for What is your mother’s maiden name? and then enter your own "User Defined" question and provide a memorable answer.

 Once complete click Submit.
